From advanced manufacturing, production, processing, and assembly machine design and development in the 1940's have evolved countless process specializations, dozens of related core technologies, and thousands of successful machine and machine system programs spanning an immense spectrum of user industries.

CAM ACTUATION is a core technology.  It lies at the heart of advanced high speed machine design: for the controlled movement of work, for repetitive/critically timed tool motions, and for complete system integration into a highly dependable and functional machine system.

ROTARY MACHINE CHASSIS: the fundamental common denominator of multiple station machines:  Available from 6 inches [15 cm] to over 300 inches [8 meters] in diameter; up to 240 positions; and with torque capacities in excess of 1,500,000 inch pounds [150,000, N-M].

PRECISION LINK MACHINE CHASSIS: In both carousel and over a configurations; up 100 feet [30m] in lengths with dozens of cam & servo drive capacities, with link sizes of 3, 6, 9, 12, 18" (7.5, 15, 22.5, 30, 48, cm) plus extra large sizes of up to 36" (0.9 m).

AGILE ASSEMBLY TECHNOLOGY: The patented new look to automatic assembly machines:  Totally modular; dimensionally interchangeable; reusable; expandable: Applicable to all machine configurations; single stations, "U" shaped cells, non-synchronous loops, hybrid systems, walking beams, and high speed synchronous carousels.  Advantages:  Quick-Time-to-Design; Time To-Develop; Time To-Market.  Result: Profitability

TOOLING & FIXTURES Partnering with Swanson permits co-development of critical work holding fixtures and operational tooling.  Designs which are created by the customer of Swanson can be quickly and cost-competitively built for application to the Swanson chassis or Agile Assembly components.

PARTS FEEDING: qualifying gauging, assembling: From bulk to singulation and assembly, Swanson offers advanced parts handling equipment such as bulk poppers, pan feeders, vibratory bowls, in-line conveying and vibratory feeders, cross-shuttles, pallet conveyors, placement mechanisms, dimensional gauging, functional testing, micro-parts manipulation, thin parts feeding: all intended to provide the customer with an experienced, able and proven source for parts handling.
